What is Animeca Sports?

 

Animeca Sports is New Rochelle's FIRST co-ed adult sports league.  We aim to offer a non-competitive, fun environment for people that enjoy playing sports.

What Leagues are Available?

​

Our Fall Leagues begin Friday, September 8th.  We will be offering a Men's 35+ League as well as an 18+ Co-Ed League. For up to date information, be sure to sign up for emails at the top of the page and you'll be notified when new league offerings are available.

How Many Players Can Be On A Team?

​

Each sport has different requirements based on its structure.  We recommend reading our rules page for the sport you are interested in to get a full understanding of what is and is not allowed for each sport.

What Days Do Games Take Place?

​

For Fall 2023, matches will be on Wednesdays for the Men's 35+ League beginning September 8th.  For the Co-Ed League, games will be on Fridays beginning September 8th.  All matches for both leagues take place between 7pm-10pm.

What If My Team Forfeits a Game?

​

Teams that cancel with less than 48 hours notice and are unable to make their game will be charged a $150 cancellation fee.

How Do Playoffs Work?

​

All teams participate in at least one playoff game.  Guests are not permitted for playoff games and only registered teammates can participate.  Due to field scheduling beyond our control, playoff games may take place on days that are different from the regular season and may include multiple days in one week.

How Long is a Game?

​

Outdoor soccer consists of 2, 25-minute halves for a total of 50 minutes per game.  There is also a 3 minute half-time break.

Is There A Maximum Number of Substitutions?

​

There is no maximum number of substitutions per game.

​

Where Will Games Be Played?

​

All outdoor games will be played at City Park on Skidelsky or Fosina Field in New Rochelle, NY.

Do I Need to be a Resident of New Rochelle to Play?

​

You do not need to be a resident of New Rochelle to sign up!

​

Is There an Age Requirement?

​

You must be 18 years or older in order to participate in our Adult Leagues.  You must be 35 years or older to participate in our Men's 35+ League.

Can I Get a Refund After Joining?

​

Once registered to participate in the league, all sales are final.

​

I'm Interested in Joining the Animeca Sports Team. What Do I Do?

​
